"STD" is an acronym for "Shawn, Tim and DJ". In 2001 we practiced in the basement of Knickerbockers in downtown Lincoln, Ne. We were a three-piece that was rehearsing 3 or 4 nights a week, getting drunk, and planning our big move back to Chicago. This is probably the tightest I have ever been with any band where I played guitar and sang. We would record our practices on an old video camera that I bought from our friend Cassy and we would then rip the audio to CD for reference. On a side note, I will never forget the many times that Sean and Chris (the owners of Knickerbockers) came downstairs to tell us to turn down during practice because we were drowning out the artists that were actually performing upstairs.
